Student Transitions Survey

The Saskatchewan Educational Leadership Unit (SELU) is inviting you to complete a short survey about your child’s transition from high school to their next step, whether that is post-secondary education, the skilled trades, or the workforce.
Your feedback will help improve:
• Career pathways and opportunities
• Flexibility in programming
• Connections between school and future opportunities
If you are parent/caregiver that has a child/student in grades 10 – 12 or that has recently graduated, we invite you to click the title to complete this survey.
Participants are anonymous and your responses will be reported back in the aggregate. The survey does not collect any identifiable data.

Principal's Message

Mrs. Emma-Leigh Pirio
Welcome to Yellow Grass School!

My name is Emma-Leigh Pirio, and I’m excited to continue as Principal of Yellow Grass School. After a wonderful first year, I look forward to building on the relationships, learning, and growth we shared while continuing our school’s strong tradition of community spirit, student-centred learning, and academic success.

I believe students do their best when they feel valued, supported, and like they truly belong. Our staff is committed to creating a safe, welcoming, and engaging school where students feel comfortable being curious, creative, and confident.

Strong relationships are such an important part of education. I look forward to continuing to work with our students, families, staff, and community to help Yellow Grass School thrive. By working together, we can help our students build the confidence, knowledge, and skills they need to succeed both in school and beyond.

I am grateful to continue this journey with the Yellow Grass community and look forward to another year of learning, growth, and making more memories with the students and families at YGS. Please know that my door is always open for conversation, collaboration, or simply a quick hello.

Here’s to a wonderful 2026–2027 school year. Go Blue Devils!

Warm regards,
Emma-Leigh Pirio
