Welcome to Yellow Grass School!
 
My name is Emma-Leigh Pirio and I am honoured to serve as the new Principal of our school. Yellow Grass has a proud tradition of community spirit, student-centered learning, and academic achievement - I am excited to join as part of that story.
 
I believe that schools are at their best when they are places where every student feels valued, seen, and supported to reach their highest potential. Our staff at YGS feels a strong dedication to providing a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where students are welcome to be curious, creative, and confident!
 
At the heart of education is strong relationships, and I look forward to working alongside our students, families, and community members to help YGS thrive. In working together, we can help students to build the character and skills needed within and beyond the walls of the school to find success.
 
I am thrilled to be here, beginning this journey in Yellow Grass and am eager to get to know each of you. Please know that my door is always open for conversation, collaboration, or simply a quick hello.
